I also use this app for cycling directions and with the exception of the times when it tries to send me down roads that aren't there, it works pretty well in this cycling-hostile city. Overall this is better than the metro app but not by much. There's a lack of live bus arrival updates, something the default apple maps app handles really well and sometimes bus routes don't even show up as an option when apple maps suggests them readily. I've also noticed that seeing walk speed preferences don't change the projected time it takes to walk to a bus stop. All that said,I believe the application could use some updated maps since there are a few instances where streets that don't exist are skewing suggested routes. There's a good bit of planning involved in what the developer has achieved here and it's pretty impressive to say the least.
